PCI Date set for thursday the 15th of October. Nearly there.. Its killing me

Shed Finished & PCI CLose

No pics sorry, but I have the shed keys now so can start moving all of my outside junk across.

PCI date will be set tomorrow, but should be Tuesday the 13th.

All that remains to be done on the house is the builders clean, tiling seal, carpet, air con finish, hot water system install, water tank install & then the landscaping.

So at this stage we'll have the house the week of my birthday.

Might take some photos Wednesday when Im fiddling round with the shed power cabling.

Stenciling, Shed & Internal Fitouts

Really there's not much left to go. The shed should be done on Sunday or Monday, and Im guessing the rest should be done next week and ready for PCI, few weeks early. Yay

Lots of pics anyway. Concrete stenciling has started, and the colour is GOLD. Little worried going off the colour sheet but on the ground its perfect and the concreters have recovered pretty well.

Pathways and tiling well under way. Most things are going well.....

Shed bits delivered, yipee. Shed slab should be poured Saturday all going well. Maybe ill have a shed next week? Now that would be exciting!

This is called im a concrete cutter, i fail at the obvious.... The gutter has been cut, for a single width driveway. We have a double width driveway. so like we're going to have concrete 1.5m either side of the driveway entrance to look nice? WTF are you doing IDIOT! Lets hope they get that fixed before pouring. RETARD.

Some bad photo's of the internal tiling under way. Tiles are a really nice chocolate with a cool liney swirl through them. Nothing like what the photo's show them to be.

Feature walls finished, all other internal painting done I think, and only the entry way to be done.

Well its looking like another action packed week might be in order yet!

Turned up this afternoon to find the benches in and the kitchen being finished. All the edging has been done for the rendering and there's a pallet of render goodness ready to go, so hopefully when i turn up tomorrow morning for the driveway sizeup they'll be into that and the rest of the skirting boards. Nearly ready for paint!

Internal Doors, Skirting Boards & Roller Doors

Monday was a bit quiet, bit of waterproofing done, windows gooped, internal doors & skirting timber delivered.

Tuesday they started work, all internal doors installed, skirting and door frames well under way, front and rear roller doors fitted. Really taking shape.

A slow week

Well compared to the last few weeks this week has been dead at the house.

All thats been done is the plasterwork is pretty much finished, and the eaves and blueboard bits above windows and the fascia has been installed.

Oh and the front door has been installed to lock us out.

So no new pictures because its all a bit ho-hum. Not sure where to from here, im guessing kitchen needs to go in and painting needs to start, hopefully next week will be another action packed week.

Bricking Complete, & Plaster Started

Spent yesterday at the house putting in the insulation, network cabling & stereo cabling. I think for most of the day there about 15 workmen on site. Brickies, fencers, electricians, plumbers and other random people calling through from time to time. Crazy. Brickies did 3/4 of the work on Wednesday, went back today and the brickwork is finished, including the letterbox. The fencing down the left side has been finished and the colour is awesome. What we didnt expect was the plasterers to be there, let alone have done a fair chunk of the walls and ceiling. I did want to get some photo's of the ducting but they'd already covered it all up! Guess its not a bad thing.

Bricks have arrived, not sure when they will start the bricking but i guess this week.

The plumbing has been done, and some of the electrical work. The ducting for the ac goes in tomorrow.

Roof is pretty much done, just needs the capping and trimmings finished. Its gonna look great. Retaining wall is now done as well, they've done a great job.

The trusses and frame stage were all sewn up on Monday and theyve put all the top hats up ready for the colorbond. Taking shape now.

The retaining wall is well under way, its nearly done actually. Waiting to hear back on what they are doing with the back of the left side as it hasnt been touched. But other than that its flying along nicely, good job so far.

Tony, Panda & Buzzy checked out the block today so I met them there late in the afternoon and took a few pics with the phone, getting a bit dark but you get the idea. No more action today, guessing next week things will get moving again with the frame

The guys turned up to cut the block on Friday, few days early :-) After some initial discussion we decided to get the entire block leveled out, we needed to have the right hand back corner raised up and retained for the shed anyway so we got it all done straight up to save some money pretty steep angle at the front, it will be a lot better once its flattened out to meet the house, but at the moment its pretty steep

A week or so ago we finally got money from the bank to the builder and were given a tentative start date of July the 9th. We've had a bit of rain over the last week so Ill put money on that date getting pushed back till the next week, just to peeve us off....

Anywho, bring on the 9th and get this crap under way!

Floor Plan Finalised

First step we needed to complete was to finalise and sign off on our floor plan. We had that mostly done before we signed the contract so the below is the final version with just a few changes in the laundry and the kitchen.

At just after 5pm today we got our approval letter from CBA. It got done the same day after finally getting escalated to the State Manager, so onto the next part finally!

We always new we were running with a Jasper roof and roller door selection.
After stalking some people around the corner from us we've picked out Colorbond Stone as our render colour. Still need to finalise the trimmings but this is the hardest bit done.

The house should end up something like this:

Building Contract Signed & Floor Plan Finalised

After 3 go's the builders draftsmen got our plan as we wanted it, and we've signed with the builder to go ahead. Next step is to have the bank confirm they are happy with the valuation. I have also decided to run with a 7x6m shed which will be part of the fenceline, i will use the 4m easement behind the shed to house the camper trailer.

After the news we had 2 more little one's on the way we've sold up and decided to build.

After my brother Tony's success with his builder we started down that path as well. But after sorting out the floor plan and working through a few things we've come across a smaller builder offering what looks to be a better package.

The land is now ours, as of the 16th of January
